My Approach:

Therapy with me is straightforward and culturally rooted—I’ll always keep it real with you, but I’ll also hold space like a big sister who’s got your back. My goal isn’t just to help you cope, but to help you move toward real change, faster. Together we’ll look at what’s been holding you back, build practical tools, and create the kind of shift that frees not only you, but future generations.

The No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates

The No Surprises Act, which is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills.

The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act is designed to give clients an estimate of how much they’ll be charged for the healthcare services they’ll be receiving, prior to their appointment.

Consumer Information

In accordance with House Bill 4224 and Texas Health and Safety Code Section 181.105,  Vida Counseling TX provides the following information to assist clients and members of the public with requesting access to health care records, contacting the state licensing authority, and filing a consumer complaint.

How to Request your Health Records

Clients have the right to request access to their health care records.

To request your records:

1.   Submit a written request by email.

2.   Include your full name, date of birth, and the specific records you are requesting.

3.   Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable fees as permitted by law.

4.   Records will be provided within the timeframe required by Texas law.

If you have questions about requesting records, please contact the practice directly using the contact information listed on this website.

If records are requested on behalf of another individual, documentation verifying legal authority is required. Examples include guardianship documentation or medical power of attorney.

Identity verification may be required to protect client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
